Burlington, VT — November 2, 2017 — CashorTrade.org is proud to announce they will be hosting a week-long event prior to Thanksgiving in which they will donate 50% of Gold Membership cost to charity. Beginning on Wednesday, November 8 and ending November 15, they are calling the event Strangers Feeding Strangers. This year CashorTrade will be supporting Chittenden Emergency Food Shelter in Burlington, Vermont. Chittenden serves up to 2,600 families in the area during the holiday season.
CashorTrade was built on many of the same core values as Vermont greats: Ben and Jerry’s, Seventh Generation, Phish, and Bernie Sanders. “We strive to provide a quality service to fans with a social mission of doing good for one another and the planet,” says CEO Brando Rich (Huffington Post). A Burlington-based tech startup, CashorTrade is excited for the chance to give back to the community that has already given them so much.
While CashorTrade flourishes as a business, it has always been about community at its’ core. The ideology thrives on passing on a highly valued experience to someone else who will equally enjoy it. “Whether it be tickets to a show, or food on the table, CashorTrade is honored to be apart of this great mission and to do what we can to provide those in need with a tasty meal over the holidays,” says Brando.
The event will coincide with the start of Dead and Company’s fall tour, beginning one day before the first show. CashorTrade hopes the event will encourage members to join or upgrade, as they will not only be helping themselves to face value tickets, but will also be helping someone enjoy a Thanksgiving meal. Above all, CashorTrade seeks to pass along the gratitude they have for one community to the next.
